NFL Officials: WTF?

Sunday, January 11th, 2009

What’s been going on? Maybe it’s just that the sports media’s been paying more attention but it seems like NFL officials are getting worse at their jobs. Now, I understand that they aren’t really JOBS since they’re paid a pittance compared to NBA refs but still. Can the multi-billion dollar franchises maybe spend a couple hundred dollars on glasses…or better yet, better training?

I admit that it’s not always that easy to see and make calls in a split second at field-level compared to our digitial HD eagle eye views. But, c’mon, we’re talking about people whose jobs are all about officiating…it’s like saying it’s okay if a judge says some guy didn’t steal even if the evidence shows it…bad call. I apologize but since it’s after the ruling, I can’t do anything about it. Sorry. I suck.

Right. How’s about you let those guys in the booth override you and tell you when you fucked up so you can apologize and fix the game before it gets broken. After all, wins put fans in seats and all those asses pay the franchises so they can drop millions on some guy so he can go out and get himself arrested. I love the game. But, nothing ruins a game more than a fucked call that makes you think the game should’ve gone another way.

So, with that, I bid the NFL officials that have helped ruin more games this season than any others I’ve seen a fond You Can’t Suck Enough! farewall.

‘night suckers.
