WHAT? Have you even read this ticket? I’ve posted the screenshots. DxDiag isn’t going to give you anything that will help you since it’s basic computer information. This is A PROBLEM WITH YOUR AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM.
Either FIX the damned problem or send me a check to cover the TWO MONTHS WASTED TALKING TO YOUR INCOMPETANT STAFF!!!
Jesus…do you realize how much this is going to affect future sales? You’ve already gotten a serious PR hit from the DRM issue and you offer up this sort of bullshit? You know how many EA products I’ve bought over the last year? You’re not just going to lose me as a customer but all the people I talk to and yes, you deserve blog space.

First please make sure you are installing the patch, details on the patch can be found here;

To have the patch automatically download you will need the Download Manager installed which can be found on the main patch site;

If you are having trouble with that patch and are using Windows XP, please make sure you disable any Security or Firewall software that you have. If you are using Windows Vista right click on your desktop icon for spore and select ‘Run as Administrator’.
With any crashes or graphical errors, make sure your drivers are up to date and all other programs have been closed;

If those changes do not correct the issues then please make sure you have an updated DxDiag file attached to this case so we can review the system details.
Additionally, if you have been able to play the game but are now running into errors or graphical glitches you can remove the Preferences folder;

That should get the game running in its default state.
If your trouble is specific to one planet or creature phase then there is a good chance that something within the save file has become corrupted. The location of your save files are here;

I would suggest making a backup of your current saves, then trying to start a new game to see if you run into the same trouble.

I’m attaching two screenshots.
SporeLoginFailure_081010 is what I get when I attempt to login from the main screen.
SporeLoginIssues_081010 is what I get when I do the following after the above failed attempt:
1) I click into settings and click Online Settings.
2) I see it says I’m not logged in. I click login.
3) I attempt to login with the [MyEALogin] login. I get the same error as above. I click the button to close that window.
4) I see my Windows user name “knakai” displayed as logged in. Huh???

No…I already told you that connectivity isn’t the issue…trust me. The only thing I can think of is the method you used to transfer my persona [SporePersona] to [MyEALogin]. Can you make sure that was done properly?
I’m assuming I’m getting the message because you didn’t transfer the persona properly.

I tried this by the way and am now getting an error saying my internet connection isn’t available or something to that effect. Trust me..the connection is available and working just fine. When I attempted to login with [SporeEmail] (which the game continues to attempt to do on startup), I get an invalid login error which I’m assuming means the connection is just fine. When I attempt to login with [MyEALogin], I get a message stating the game was unable to connect to the Spore servers and that I should check my internet connection.
Also, after I exit out of the login prompt and check the Online part of the Settings, it shows me as being connected as “knakai”. What’s the problem now?

That’s fine but when I attempt to login with that e-mail address, I keep getting an Invalid Login error. I’m using the same password I used to successfully log in on the www.ea.com site. I even went to the site and changed my password (which requires your old password) successfully. Neither password works in the game.

I was never prompted to login/register until I launched the game and I’ve been trying to login with the only email address I know of that should be linked in any way to the game.
Also, I thought YOU were support for this game…why do I have to go and submit a new ticket?
Can you just look up my account? I have two possible addresses I could have used if any. [SporeEmail] is what I would have used with spore. [MyEALogin] is what I use with your other games (i.e. EA games).
The only thing that might be a problem is that I had the Creature Creator installed previously. Given how spotty your software can be at times, is it possible the removal part of the Spore install neglected to uninstall something or failed to remove a registry key?

You may be getting this error message if you already registered your Spore serial code with another account. If you have already registered Spore to one email address you will not be able to add the same serial number to a second email address.
If you are unsure what account you used to register Spore please use the Contact Us link and submit an incident to our support team, we will be able to check the account that was used.
When submitting your incident, please include the following information to verify the account (the more information you include the easier it will be to verify the account):

I’m attaching a screenshot.
Please don’t insult me with a canned response obviously intended to put me in the group of people who just fall off the grid because they don’t care any more or whatever.
My problem still exists. When I attempt to login in the game using my [SporeEmail] username which works just fine on the spore.com web site, I get an error message saying “The code for this installation is invalid and cannot be used to link your account.”
Could this be because I had the creature creator installed prior to installing Spore? The Spore installer supposedly removed this…

I already created a screen name on the Spore.com site when I installed the Creature Creator but now that I’m trying to register the Galactic Edition I got, I’m getting an error saying I don’t have the right priviledges on my Spore.com account to use the product’s online features…huh?
QUESTION: How do I create a SPORE Screen Name?
Answer: To register the SPORE Creature Creator and gain access to the SPORE Web site and creature sharing, you will need to create a SPORE Screen Name. This special name will be used to identify you on the SPORE Web site. Consider this your ‘nickname’.
There are two important pieces in this process:
a SPORE Screen Name
a valid EA Account
This information will be asked for when you first launch the Creature Creator. You’ll see a window that looks like this:
If you already have an existing EA Account, enter your e-mail address and your password in the spaces provided, along with your desired SPORE Screen Name, date of birth, etc.
If you do not have an EA Account yet, one will be created for you when you enter the requested information. Enter your desired SPORE Screen Name, date of birth, etc.
Your selected SPORE Screen Name will be associated with your newly created EA Account. (Your EA Account can be used for other Web sites and games, as well. Don’t forget your password!)
Errors
If you receive an error saying that your e-mail address and password do not match anything in our system, it may be that you already have an EA Account and are not providing the correct password. You can retrieve a lost password or request another validation e-mail here!
If you receive the error ‘An unknown error has occured,’ please make sure you are not trying to create a persona with the word “Spore” or any variation of the word.
