Seems Twitter got introduced to the “real” world of the Internet today with a DDoS attack. It’s almost a ritual for large sites to eventually get hit by one…almost like the Internet is telling you, “You’ve arrived! We know where you live!”
Given Twitter’s track record for outages, I’m surprised it wasn’t down all day (it’s pretty snappy right now). Better still is how all those Twirps Tweeps or whatever they’re called are dealing with the loss of their habit for more than 10 seconds! I’m imagining entire .Com start-ups collapsing in withdrawl-induced seizures like a mass of jello collapsing and giggling for ages.
Ugh…still waiting on the next big thing and the arrival of Web 3.0…wake me when it happens.
